What Helps you remain passionate about blogging?

It is called the Circle of Blog! Something I coined myself! (^_^) I figured that if I devote half my time to posting the things I want to talk about and the other half engaging with others on the things I care about, It creates a perfectly balanced meal that constantly renews my urges to write. By posting, I get a sense of accomplishment. Somewhere out there, someone is going to read this and that is pretty exciting in its own right. Also, it acts a diary in a way that I can go back and cringe at. While at the same time, after I post something, I make it my duty to go and search through the community of bloggers and read.

I am always surprised by what I find. Whether it be in my niche which is anime, games, and movies or more aboard with things dealing with novels, traveling, or just life in general. When something does spark my interest, I make sure to comment it on because I love engaging with others. I am still trying to find that balance with life but so far, I think I get better and better at it every day.

What is something you know not about blogging that you wished you knew when you began?

Don’t think about it, just do it and course correct later. Before, I was the type of person that if I broke the schedule, I would just lose all hope and not come back to it. And in some ways, I still have remnants of that mentality still in me. I wish someone had told me that I did not have to follow a guideline. That I could craft one as I went that could be tailored just for me. I doubt I would have listened back then hearing it would have made some sort of difference.

Just write. Miss a week? Write. Now feeling up to it? Fine, write later. Life has gotten out of control? Fine, handle it and remember to come back and write. Always come back and write. You will love yourself later. Schedules and consistency are important but writing something will always be better than nothing. You can build from something. You start from scratch with nothing.

If you could meet your favorite voice actor/actress who would it be?

Actor: Steven Blum

Actress: Erica Lindbeck

Would you like to get into the animation/entertainment/ video game industry?
If so, is Shirobako or new game an inspiration for you to do so? If not, then why did you decide to go into said industry?

At one point in my life, I attended school to become a video game designer but I realize that wasn’t for it after learning more about the industry and discovering more job opportunities and such. From a storyboarding perspective, I would love to be on the writing staff. Crafting plotlines and stories! I can’t say that Shirobako was an inspiration though.

If you weren’t blogging, would you try something like a podcast or youtube?

I am actually considering it not with my blogging. I really want to do a podcast and I researching the dynamics of it every day during my commute to work or during dull moments at work. It is a goal of mine to get one up before the end of the year.

If your favorite videogame/anime character came to life, how would you spend your time with them?

If Kaori came to life, I would probably just sit back and listen to her play music. I might even be bold enough to ask her to teach me some basic lessons.

What two anime/videogame world would you live in?

Would have to be Synthisters taking out other Synthisters

Akiba’s Trip Undead & Undressed!

I would have so much fun!

The battle is over and the questions have been slain. It is time for me present the questions for your conquest!

  • As a blogger, what is it that you hope to convey to your readers?
  • What is one thing that you admire you admire about your blog?
  • If your blog could have a theme song, what you play on your home page?
  • Given the opportunity, what anime would you spearhead a sequel for and why?
  • What team would you hire to do the animation for your anime?
  • What composer would you hire to do your score?
  • What would you keep from the original anime and what would change for your sequel?

My Nominations

I only have three. I like to try and nominate people that I haven’t nominated and that is a very hard task so I only have four amazing people nominate this time. However, should you just want to participate, feel free and just say I tagged! You are missing the point of this part… Nope, I get it and this is going to work!

  • Purple Manatees – Thanks for giving me another series to read with The Kingdom of Ash.
  • A Fictional Bookworm – Bonus question! Who is your favorite character from the Mistborn Trilogy?
  • Otaku Planet – I was wondering what was your favorite moment in Asobi Asobase?
  • KurumiShim – Double Decker is on my very long list of anime to get to.

As always, thank you all for swimming all the way over here to my little island and reading. You guys and gals are truly awesome and I really appreciate it!

Until the next post!

Love the answers and energy Rev 😁 . That’s understandable, why you didn’t want to go in to videogame industry, I’ve heard its really rough and have a limited career path.

    1. It was honestly.for that very reason. I didn’t want to get burned out and it turn I to a job and not something I could be passionate about. I heard stories of people hating the industry after being wormed like a slave and younger me was a bit “Free” to go that route.
