We Have been Tagged! T.A.P. (Tanka Anime Poetry)

Hey… I think there is something on your back. Wait… wut? Yeah, there is like this sticky note. Don’t worry it doesn’t say kick you. Stop squirming, I will get it for you. Let me see that! We have been tagged! I don’t know who would leave sticky notes on people backs but we will investigate the culprit! But… the culprit’s name is on the- you know what? Forget it. I know better.

The lovely Moya (^_^) has enlisted our creative juices! Today, we tackle the art of writing Tanka! Tanka? Yes! From my understanding, it is an extended form of a haiku which follows the format of 5-7-5-7-7 syllables in a line.

Here are the rules:

  1. Headline your post with “The T.A.P. Tag!” and put “tanka” as one of your tags.
  2. Make sure to link back to the original post that started the tag (this post!).
  3. Make sure to mention the person who forced introduced the tag to you!
  4. Pick 1-3 of your favorite anime.
  5. Write your tanka about the anime you’ve chosen. It’s fine if you decide to do only one or two if the schedule is tight.
  6. Tag at least 3 or more bloggers you know, and get their creative muscles flowing.
This guy is!  Get’em Maka!

Again, a very special shout out to Moyatori for thinking about me enough to tag me in something so creative!

I don’t think I have had that much fun writing poetry in a while. I haven’t written anything in quite some time actually. Maybe a few here and there, but that was certainly an exercise that I thoroughly enjoyed! You were definitely right about this one Moya, I loved it. Why do you keep calling her that? She said we could in her about page!

Megan // A Geeky Gal: I’m curious to see what you do with this if we bend the rules a bit and let you do your tankas on games instead.

Lynn Sheridan: I  wonder what shows you are going to choose for this. This is so exciting!

Merlin: You were the first person I thought about when I was doing this!

As always, thanks for stopping by and reading. You guys/gals are awesome!

Until the next post…

Also, you totally didn’t have to add “belated” in the title because I was several months late in answering this tag but you answered it in, like, 2 days. 😂
